After seeing a prototype for YOUReality 3D Visualization Software, Michael Kenady, owner of Atlanta Grill Services, was more than happy to say "yes" when asked to test the software before its release. And just a week into using it, he had the opportunity to put it to the test with a real customer for the first time.
With laptop in hand, Kenady arrived at the customer's home and performed his usual survey of the backyard and installation area. But this time, he also took a few digital photos of the yard with YOUReality's proprietary photo Marker in the picture.
As the customer described what he wanted, Kenady loaded the photos onto his computer and booted up YOUReality. In listening to the customer, Kenady had some concerns from a product and installation perspective, but this time, rather than trying to explain to the customer in an abstract manner why he should make a different choice, he launched YOUReality.
Quickly and easily, using the software's Planner module, Kenady built the island as the customer described. Using the 3D model right on his laptop, Kenady was able to explain why certain choices would not work, and then show his customer recommended changes to improve the final design.
"I was so excited about using YOUReality," says Kenady. "Sitting there, seeing my customer's interest build as I changed out options was an amazing experience. Instead of disappointment in not getting what he wanted, he was participating in the process, asking to see different products and facing options."
According to Kenady the customer was blown away to see his final built-in configuration in the photo of his own backyard. "He had never seen anything like it. Adding patio furniture to the photo was a valuable feature for him."
Kenady says YOUReality easily allowed him to steer his customer away from a configuration that did not make sense, which can be difficult when a customer has his mind set on something. Actually seeing it made all the difference.
"On top of that, I was able to up-sell this customer a product he had not considered because when he saw it with YOUReality, he knew that it fit well in his space. Being able to place the final island in the customer's backyard using the Visualizer module was the icing on the cake and helped me close the deal, right there at his house."
What is usually a two-to-three-week sales cycle with customers changing minds and asking for multiple options, turned into instant success with YOUReality. "Seeing the kitchen in his backyard created emotional ownership, right there on the spot," says Kenady.
"In one sale, I more than covered the cost of YOUReality for the entire year. And the time it saved me - that was amazing!" exclaimed Kenady
